Get MKV for Playback on PS3 with TsMuxeR

This article will teach you how to convert MKV to M2TS for playback on PS3 with tsMuxeR.

I have some TV episodes that I ripped from Blu Ray to MKV for watching on my laptop. Now, I want to change them back to M2TS so I can watch them on my PS3. I have done this many times before using tsMuxeR with no issues at all. I always set compression to "None," or else I get an "Invalid H264 NAL unit size" error. For some reason, whenever I use tsMuxeR to convert to M2TS, the stream comes out totally scrambled. I used the latest version of mkvmerge (5.4.0) to make the MKVs originally, so I don't know why I am having any issue changing them back to M2TS now. Has anyone else had this problem?

PlayStation 3 (PS3) is not only one of the best Game Console, but also a built-in Blu-ray Player as well as a High definition media player. We find that PS3 does not support the MKV / Matroska container, but it will support much of the audio and video that can be stored in the MKV container. Do not abandon them, this article will teach you how to convert MKV to M2TS for playback on PS3 with tsMuxeR.

Here, tsMuxeR, a freeware developed by SmartLabs for users to create TS and M2TS files for IP broadcasting as well as for viewing at hardware video players (i.e., Dune HD Ultra, Sony PS3 and others), can not only extracts (demuxes) the video and audio from the Matroska MKV file and wraps them (muxes) to a M2TS transport stream format, but also merge multiple M2TS streams into one file.

The steps:

Convert MKV to M2TS for Playback on PS3 with tsMuxeR

Note: Before convert MKV to M2TS for playback on PS3 with tsMuxeR

1. You should check whether the computer hard disk has plenty vacant space. At least there are enough space that can hold the entire copy of original MKV.

2. Make sure this MKV file contains AVC video and AC3 audio. If not, you need to learn how to transcode other video or audio codec to AVC/AC3.

Useful Tips of Smoothly Editing Canon C300 MXF Footage on Mac

Have you ever got problems in editing Canon C300 footage when it all goes wrong? This paper can offer you some useful suggestions.

Working with Canon C300, the output formatMXFhas provides us a high quality image enjoyment. Surely, if you wanna edit MXF video files in editing system, a free plug-in or MXF video converter can help you smoothly finish your work. Such as [http://mediaconverting.blogspot.com/2014/08/Trying-to-load-Canon-XF100-MXF-files-to-FCP-X.html]FCPorPremiere Pro.

However, someone else has some other questions about MXF files.

Question 1.How to copy MXF files correctly?

Well first, and this may go without saying, but if you’re going to get an intern or producer to do it make sure they know what they’re doing. Essentially you must copy the entire card structure (preferably not through dragging and dropping in the finder).

Sony and Canon both have free browser apps that will let you back up your media. Or you could invest in something like Shotput Pro to duplicate your cards to multiple drives simultaneously. You are backing them up as you go, right?
If that’s not enough detail, just watch this great tutorial on a correct tapeless media workflow from Shane Ross.

Method to import AVCHD files shoot at 50 frames into FCP

This tutorial will give you a step by step instruction about how to import AVCHD files shoot at 50 frames in FCP by converting 50p mts to FCP 6/7/X supported Prores codec.

Q: 50p AVCHD transcode to ProRes 422 problem

Hi All, I have encountered a problem trying to Log and Transfer / transcode 1080 50p AVCHD footage (shot on a Sony FS100) to Apple ProRes 422 using FCP 7. Can anyone suggest a good workflow for this kind of transcode as I am struggling to find any solutions online. Thanks in advance.

While you are pleased with the video quality of the recordings, the trouble with this is that Final Cut Pro can not recognize avchd files shoot at 50 frames, whether you transfer them directly from your camera/camcorder or from the folder which has been copied to Mac. How to import avchd files shoot at 50 frames into final cut pro turns out to be the first problem that AVCHD camera/camcorder users need to figure out.

import Olympus Tough TG-1 mov files to iMovie on Mac

If you don't know how to import Olympus Tough TG-1 mov files to iMovie on Mac, you can follow this article, and you will know how convert Olympus video for iMovie editing best.

Apple’s consumer filmmaking software, iMovie, has gotten its fair share of both praise and scorn over the years. iMovie Version 9 was released in 2011, and it was more popularly known as iMovie '11. This new version of iMovie is Version 10. Presumably it could be called iMovie '13, but Apple no longer uses the year as a designator. So, it's called iMovie 10.

The Olympus Tough TG-1 is a waterproof camera that’ll change the way you think about capturing dangerous-to-capture memories. Sometimes you took the Tough TG-1 on your tourism to document your outdoor adventures with peace of mind, and you want to assemble all the clips into a movie using some editing software like iMovie on Mac back home, but you are confused how to import Olympus Tough TG-1 to iMovie.

Camileo X-Sports HD camcorder VS GoPro Hero 3 - edit Full HD MP4 in Final Cut Pro

Have you got a new Camileo X-Sports HD camcorder? What is the difference between Camileo and Hero 3? How toimport Full HD MP4 into Final Cut Pro for editing? Follow this, you will have a better understanding.

Camileo X-Sports HD camcorder VS GoPro Hero 3

The Toshiba Camileo X-Sports HD camcorder (US$300) lines up against GoPro's Hero3. Movies may be shot in Full HD (1080p) at 60fps, 720p at 120fps, 1600x1200p at 60fps, 960p at 60fps, 848x480 at 240fps and 480p at 30fps.

GoPro Hero3 ($330) is very popular camcorder on the market to record sports video. The GoPro Hero3 Black Edition is the flagship product in the Hero3 range, which includes the mid-range Silver Edition and the entry-level White Edition. While the Silver and White editions support a maximum resolution of 1080p at 25fps, the Black Edition can capture 1080p Full HD video at 50/48/25fps in PAL mode (60/48/30fps for NTSC capture). Furthermore 720p recording can be captured at 100/50fps (120/60fps for NTSC).

A little heavier and bigger that GoPro, Camileo X-Sports uses a very GoPro-like design. Matching the Full HD resolution of the Hero3 at 1080p, the Camileo gives a better frame-rate of 60 fps compared to the GoPro's 30 fps. It comes with a fully loaded kit and its specs compare favorably against the comparative (entry level) GoPro device. And it's also cheaper.

Both Camileo X-Sports and GoPro record Full HD video in MP4 format. The MPEG-4 codec is a final delivery codec it is not one you want to use for editing. Therefore you may have problems when importing GoPro and Camileo X-Sports HD movie into FCP X 10.1.1, FCP 7 and FCP 6. For smoothly editing Full HD camera files in Final Cut Pro, you need to convert MP4 to a more editing-friendly format, such a Apple ProRes.

To get the work done, iMedia Converter for Mac is highly recommended. It's a professional and intuitive video converter. With it, you can effortlessly transcode Camileo X-Sports HD MP4 to ProRes 422 MOV for Final Cut Pro. Meanwhile, the Mac Video Conversion tool can convert videos compatible with various non-linear editing systems like Avid, FCE, FCP X, iMovie, and Adobe Premiere (Pro) etc.

Guide: Transcoding GoPro Here or Camileo X-Sports Full HD MP4 to ProRes 422 codec for Final Cut Pro

Step 1. Download, install and run the Mac MP4 to Prores Converter, click "Add" or "Add From Folder" to load your Full HD movie.

Step 2. Click the format bar, and choose "Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) (*.mov)" as output format.

Some more helpful features:

2. Editor (next to "Add" icon)- click to set deinterlace, denoise, mute, volume up, trim, crop, etc.

Step 3. Click "Convert" button to start Camileo X-Sports Full HD MP4 to ProRes 422 HQ MOV conversion.

As soon as the process is 100% finished, you can get the final output Apple ProRes files via clicking "Open" button effortlessly.

Immediately Convert MXF from separate folders to Avid DNxHD MOV

Q: I have Canon spanned clips in different folders? Can I immediately convert MXF from separate folders to AvidDNxHD MOV for importing to Avid Media Composer.

A: From below screenshot, you can see MXF files are in several folders, DC0943, DC0944, etc. Each separate folders stores MXF video and audio under the parent folder "Clips001". You can directly load the folder "Clips001" to load the multiple MXF clips instead of adding seperate folders one by one. You can also directly drag the folders to the Canon MXF Converter.

As we know, Canon camcorders, like Caon XF300/XF305/C300 stores every MXF clips is in a separate folder, which brings inconvenience to import MXF from different folders to conversion tool. If you have many MXF clips, it's the time to find a way to load multiple files at once instead of openning each folder to add MXF clips one by one. Most converters or editing systems lack the power to load MXF from different folders.

However, Aunsoft TransMXF Pro for Mac can not only capture MXF footage from the folder but also load the multiple Canon separate folders. So that you can convert Canon separate folders MXF to Avid at once. The method is easy. Taking separate folders as sub-folder, which are included in a parent folder, you can directly load the parent folder so that the MXF file will be loaded into the program at once. If you don't want all MXF files from CF card, you can also drag and drop what you need to the program.

Want to preserve and get separate audio tracks from multichannel MXF footage? The Canon MXF Converter Mac can transcode MXF to ProRes MOV, MOV, MP4 and MKV with separate multiple tracks kept.

Below is a simple tutorial to convert Canon MXF clips from separate folder to DNxHD for Avid at once.

"I have only used a couple of DRM tools. So far Vidpie seems to work the best. Other tools the video output seems degraded. It would be nice if I could use 50-70% of the cuda capacity and get done in 30 mins versus 120." from a customer review.

Every DRM Vdieo converter has pros and cons. Vdipe records source DRM videos in 1:1 video and audio quality so it would take as long as the source movie lengt. Now, the Vidpie v4.6.0, as the latest version, is more excellent to keep audio/video quality. Convert Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 AVCHD MTS to editable MOV

Summary: This article provides the easiest workflow to convert Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 AVCHD MTS to editable MOV with DNxHD, AIC, ProRes, DVCPRO coedc for post production in Avid Media Composer, iMovie, FCE, Final Cut Pro, etc.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 review

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 is the first mirrorless stills hybrid that seems to be able to do it all. This one is amazing camera! 4K 10bit 4:2:2 out of the mini HDMI. The GH4 shoots 4K in 16:9 UHD 4K 3840×2160 video at 23.98p, 24p or 29.97p, and 17:9 DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) 4K 4096×2160 videos at 24p. Available formats include MOV, MP4, AVCHD Progressive, and AVCHD at a variety of frame rates. In MP4 / MOV, high quality LPCM (Linear Pulse Code Modulation) sound can be recorded. Generally, down converting a finished project shot in 4K into HD always gives you a better higher quality image.

Why convert Panasonic GH4 AVCHD to MOV?

AVCHD is highly advanced file based format used to play digital recording and playback of high definition videos. It also puts more stress on the CPU, as AVCHD footage is highly compressed and the CPU is needed to decode it properly. MOV is a QuickTime format/container, which can use a variety of codecs (like the Divx and Xvid codecs found with many .avi files), Apple Intermediate Codec is the codec used for iMovie and FCE compatible footage, ProRes is the codec for converting AVCHD MTS to FCP compatible footage for Mac editing.

Why use Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac

Conversion is easy. But many audio/video isssues will be turned up during conversion. You may find AVCHD to .mov files too big, you may find AVCHD to MOV losing quality and you may have audio playback out of sync after converting AVCHD MTS to MOV. Some popular AVCHD conversion tools, such as ClipWarp or FFmpeg are with multiple complex steps that you may don't know how to choose best export format for edting.

However, Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac is extremely easy to use with advanced AVCHD encoding technology. You can easily convert Panasonic Lumix GH4 AVCHD video to editable MOV on Mac OS X with only 3 steps. The export video category shows the best editable format for Final Cut Prom FCE, iMovie, etc. You can freely rewrap AVCHD to QuickTime MOV, DNxHD MOV, ProRes MOV, etc on the latest 10.9.2 Mavericks. The file size is pretty much the same as the video/audio hasnt been touched with almost original quality. Moreover, with 310+ export video formats, you can downconvert Panasonic GH4 4K video to HD or SD video.

Below is a step-by-step guide to rewrap AVCHD MTS clips to editable quicktime mov on Mac.

1. Click "Add Video" to load the .mts files from GH4 Camcorder to the program. You can directly drag the file to the app.

2. Click "Format" bar to choose output format:

Choose "Common video -> MOV-QuickTime (*.mov)" for editng. You can also choose MOV with ProRes, DNxHD, AIC , etc.

Convert iTunes HD kids' movies to Android phone MP4

Mostly are movies purchased from iTunes. (cartoons / kids’ movies for my daughter.) I need to play iTunes HD movies on my android phone so she can watch them at the restaurant / during travel. I’ve been using Vidpie. Despite a few glitches, it can get the job done.I’ve tried demos of a couple of competing products, and Vidpie has better quality.

However, I got some problems. When converting HD movies, I often get the message that my display is not HDCP compatible (this only occurs when running iTunes through Vidpie). Once this problem occurs, it continues to occur until a reboot. I can never get conversion to go faster than 1x movie playback speed, even though it only uses 15% of my CPU to convert. After conversion, the file icon for the movie is just some random frame, often a black one. It would be nice if it used the iTunes artwork on the movie icon.

Now I install the latest Vidpie v4.6.0, it seems work much better.

Pros:

Supports Windows 8.1 and latest iTunes 11.1.5
Convert iTunes movies to various formats optimal for different devices
Support removing DRM from Amazon download WMV
Support digital copy (M4V/WMV) from DVDs and Blu-ray discs
Extremely easy to use. When load file, you can choose to “add video” or “add from folder”.

Below is a guide to stream iTunes HD movies to Android MP4. Hope it is helpful.

Step 1: Install Vidpie

Here, make sure that your computer is authorized by source iTunes video which means you can play iTunes movies in iTunes without trouble.

Allow the audio drive installed during Vidpie installation.

2. Load DRM video from iTunes Library

Then click "Add video", "Add from Folder" or drag & drop video from Amazon Unbox to the program. You can add multiple files at a time.

3. Choose output format.

Import and edit AVCHD progressive files to FCP X

Does FCP X import AVCHD progressive files? Can I directly import AVCHD 60P progressive in Final Cut Pro X for smoothly editing? Will I still need to convert AVCHD progressive to ProRes MOV? This article will helps you to deal with AVCHD footage with Final Cut Pro.

FCP X will import from my sony a65 in 60p, edit it, and then export it as 59.94. If I remember to change the preferences back to optimized rather than proxy, the exported file looks great.  And it is also able to do a direct import of my 1080/60p footage (all 307 clips) from my Sony HDR CX700V to FCP X (version 10.0.4) without using Clipwrap first. The difference being the footage is H.264 instead of ProRes 422. Put side by side in the Timeline there is virtually no visual difference.

Natively editing AVCHD 60P progressive files in FCP X, ok or not?

"I was able to see a clip that I recored in 1080/60p in Camera Capture mode.  But when I drug the files to my hard drive, and tired to use File Import, I kept getting an error message saying no files were importable.  Why is that?"

And some guys tried with HDC TM 700 with no luck. It seams that 1080/60p still does not import from a Panasonic HDC-HS900. Panasonic SD90 - little brother to the 700, 800, 900, etc. 1080/60p imports just great. You can actually already view and work with the clips, but they are VERY stuttery. Once converted they are totally smooth. Since ProRes still the best codec for FCP, conversion is necessary sometimes.

How to convert AVCHD progressive files to Final Cut Pro X?

Step 2: Choose "Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov)" or "Apple ProRes 422 HQ (*.mov)" under “Final Cut Pro” category.

Quick MTS/M2TS to HitFilm Express Conversion-lossless convert MTS to DNxHD Codec

Q: I have Canon Legria HF M46 and I would want to edit my AVCHD MTS within hitfilm 2 express. As now it says AC3 is not supported, and when I am trying to mess with composite shots it acts REALLY laggy. Preview window is around 12-15 FPS and when Istop/move frames in timeline, its freezes for about 10 seconds. If i need to convert my footage to another format, how will i do it?

A: People often recommend using a codec such a ProRes or DNxHD, on a PC I'd go for DNxHD. I've been having problems with m2ts files and used Avidemux to convert them to mp4 which made a huge difference. This is not re-encoding the audio/video but simply changing the container. So I switch to Aunsoft Video Converter which can help me convert MTS to DNxHD Codec and I could use it to convert the audio to aac or pcm.

Yeah, you will have DNxHD 185 and a DNxHD 220 conversion options in free EyeFrame Converter. However, for giving priority to video quality and transcoding settings, Video Converter is a better choice.

How to convert MTS M2TS to DNxHD codec for HitFilm 2 Express?

Amateur film-maker edits short films MXF in Final Cut Express

Summary: This article is helping you to import Canon XF305/XF105/XF100/XF300/C300/C500/XF200/XF205 MXF to Final Cut Express, so you can edit short film MXF in FCE with easy.

I am an amateur film-maker.  I make short films telling stories about my friends. I shot my footage with a rented Canon xf305 and had to edit it using Final Cut Express: had to

convert files from MXF to Apple Intermediate Codec. What I like most is the easy and quick of Aunsoft MXF Converter for Mac. It is an easy-to-use and intuitive Mac tool for

camcorder users. It is good at converting MXF recordings shot by Panasonic P2, Canon XF series and Sony XDCAM camcorders to formats compatible with your video editing

software like Final Cut Express, iMovie, Final Cut Pro (X), Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, and more. Below is a brief guide for you.

As we know, Canon MXF high-end camcorders, Canon C300, C500 and XF series, like XF305, XF100, XF105, XF300, XF200, XF205 are more and more popular for

photographer, cameraman and film-maker thanks to its high quality videos. These professional camcorders record high-definition video footages in .mxf format. It’s good to

maintain the high quality of the video by using MXF format, but this format is not compatible with editing software and other portable devices.

So if you want to import MXF video to Final Cut Express on Mac and to get those MXF files work flaelessly in FCE without rendering time, Here I will share my workflow with

you.

Step 1: Import Canon MXF files

Launch the MXF to FCE Converter. Click "add video" or "add folder" to load MXF clips. You can also directly drag files to the program. If you have multiple Canon MXF short

films, you can select the “Merge into one” box to merge the files into one single file for FCE so that you can play these files without interruption.

Step 2: Select an output format

Click on the “Format” and you will get a dropdown menu. Move you pointer to iMovie and Final Cut Express > Apple Intermediate Codec(AIC) (*.mov).

Step 3: Adjust audio and video parameters.

Click the “Settings” icon and you will go into a new interface named “Profile Settings”. You can adjust codec, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate and audio channel in the interface

according to your needs and optimize the output file quality.

You’d better set the video frame rate as 30fps, video size as 1920*1080 to keep the best quality for editing in FCE. If you want to have a smaller file size but keep the good quality,

you can change the video size to 1440*1080.

Step 4: Conversion

Click the “Convert” button, it will convert Canon MXF files to AIC for FCE on Mac immediately. When the MXF to AIC conversion process is 100% completed, you will be able

to get the output short films for FCE by clicking on “import” button effortlessly.

Stream/Convert download Amazon Unbox Video to Galaxy Note Pro 12.2

Want to play download Amazon Unbox Video on SamSung Galaxy NotePro 12.2? But the WMV video purchased or rented from Amazon is usually DRM-protected and can only be watched with Amazon Unbox Player or on a Kindle Fire(HD) tablet. This article is helping you to transfer Amazon WMV to Galaxy NotePro 12.2 for personal use.

Amazon Instant Video

Due to content licensing restrictions, Amazon Instant Video titles are only available in the U.S., and you must have an Amazon account, a U.S. billing address, and a 1-Click payment method issued by a U.S. bank. On Android devices, you can buy or rent videos through your web browser, but at this time, you can't play them on your Android device.
So you can download Amazon videos with higher quality for the unbox video player, but you cannot watch the Amazon movies you already bought on devices like Samsung Galaxy, nexus 7, iPad or iPhone.

Samsung Galaxy NotePro 12.2

The newly released Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is a slate as large as its name, but while the moniker is a bit of a mouthful, the tablet itself weighs in at a surprisingly comfortable 1.65 pounds and features a soft faux-leather back. At 12.2", the largest of the Note Pro family is also pushing the limits of the transportability which makes smartphones and tablets the functional gadgets that they are, but what it shirks in portability it makes up for in productivity. That massive screen serves to truly highlight Samsung’s suite of productivity apps, including software like Hancom Viewer (a handy app for editing documents) and e-Meeting (an app for conferencing). With a host of features and an impressive penchant for productivity, the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 could be the right solution for Android users looking to leave their laptops behind.

To stream Amazon Unbox video to Galaxy NotePro 12.2, Vidpie well done!  The Vidpie can remove DRM protection from amazon video as well as converts the WMV file to mp4 optimal for Galaxy devices. It is also capable of removing DRM from iTunes m4v movies.

1. Download and Install Vidpie

Here, make sure that your computer is authorized by source iTunes video which means you can play iTunes movies in iTunes without trouble.

Allow the audio drive installed during Vidpie installation.

2. Load Amazon download movies

Then click "Add video", "Add from Folder" or drag & drop video from Amazon Unbox to the program. You can add multiple files at a time.

3. Choose output format.

Click the drop-down-list besides “Format” and choose “SamSung Galaxy Note (*.mp4)” as the output format.

4. Conversion.

When all the settings are OK, click the Convert button on the main interface to start removing DRM from Amazon movie or TV show and converting to the supported MP4 for Galaxy NotePro 12.2. After the conversion, click “Open output folder” to quick locate the converted video.

DOP shooting workflow-convert XDCAM camera files to iMovie MOV

I am a primary DOP shooting. What I need is to convert Sony PVW 500 XDCAM files to iMovie MOV. All kinds of factual subjects, mainly science and natural world with some arts subjects are from my own broadcast cameras Sony PVW 500 and Canon C300. I am just checking sequences not producing finished broadcast programmes.

What I am using now is Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac which was recommended by a colleague, a professional DOP shooting for BBC. I think this program is better than Sony XDCAM Transfer. XDCAM Transfer will turn XDCAM files in QT MOVs when it copies source files from the camera media to the computer. Browser is supposed to replace it, but if it’s missing features you might as well stick with the old one.

Comparatively, Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac will directly convert XDCAM camera files to MOV, iMovie, QuickTime, Apple ProRes, etc. It supports transcode Sony XDCAM HD422 XDCAM files to iMovie MOV format for iMovie 13/11/9 on Mac OS X Mavericks and previous version. The program full supports Standard-definition XDCAM cameras and XDCAM HD cameras, like PDW-F800, PDW-700, PDW-F355L, etc.

The most beautiful part I like is the CUDA technology and multi-threading encoding technology the XDCAM camera files Converter adopts. It is about 10X faster than other conversion tools I've tried. The finish video is with perfect video and audio in sync.

Below is a simple workflow to transcode XDCAM files to MOV iMovie on my Mac Pro.

Step 1. Input source XDCAM files to the XDCAM Video Converter

Click "add videos" to load individual videos, or click "add from folder" to load camera files-MXF folder. Drag & drop is available.

Step 2. Choose output formats

Click “Format” preset and choose “iMovie and Final Cut Express-> Apple InterMediate Codec (AIC) (*.mov)” as best video format for editing Sony XDCAM files in iMovie as well as lossless video quality.

Before XDCAM files to MOV conversion, you can also click “Settings” which is marked as step 3 to fix the frame rate, bitrate and video quality to your needs.

Step 3. Conversion

Here click "Convert" to transcode XDCAM files to MOV. The XDCAM to iMovie Converter for Mac supports batch conversion, so if you have lots of XDCAM camera files to convert, check "Shut down computer after conversion", and you can go away without keeping an eye on it.
